offered in form of a hybrid learning at AGH University od Krakow

 

 

About the Programme

Third edition of the International School „Cursos de Verano en AGH Universidad de Cracovia” has received funding from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) under the European Funds for Social Development 2021-2027 (FERS). As a part of this program, we offer 4 optative courses with an introduction to technical English as an induction. Students are elegible to select one course.

Who can apply?

Current edition will bring 80 students from a network of over 30 leading Partner Universities from Latin America and the Caribbean region. Foreign students will participate in an intensive academic and cultural experience at AGH University. They will also receive a scholarship to contribute to travel, accommodation and meal expenses.

This program is also open for 40 students enrolled at AGH University.

What do we offer?

The project will be implemented in two Semesters:

Winter (September 1, 2025 - January, 31 2026)

  • Sustainable Mining Technologies
  • Advanced Manufacturing Processes and CNC Programming

Summer (February 2, 2026 - July 3, 2026)

  • Catalysis, Catalysts, Methods of Their Characterization and Possibilities of Application
  • Environmental Sociology and Social Problems on The Post-mining Areas

 

 

The main aims of the courses are:

  1. To increase the knowledge and practical skills of Projects participants.
  2. To reach foreign students and institutions with the scientific offer of the AGH University of Krakow. 

The Projects aims are:

  1. To increase the recognition of the AGH University of Krakow at the international arena.
  2. To capture foreign students attention of the academic performance at AGH University of Krakow.
  3. To strenghten cooperation at the international arena of a scientific nature.
  4. To increase academic offer of courses offered at AGH University of Krakow in an English language.
  5. To develop skills and competences of academic teachers of AGH University of Krakow.
  6. To facilitate online learning for all.


As outcomes, we hope that AGH University of Krakow will enlarge its foreign students population especially from Latin American countries. Furthermore, we would like to see strenghtening of educational and scientific cooperation with our partner universities. As well as we look forward to increase the employability and career perspectives of courses participants.

First and Second editions 

The projects were implemented under the program of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange - SPINAKER - Intensive International Education Programs. Programs were financed from the non-competition project no. POWR.03.03.00-00-PN16 / 18 "Supporting the institutional capacity of Polish universities through the creation and implementation of international study programs" under the Knowledge Education Development Operational Program.

General information

The AGH University Centre for International Affairs, in cooperation with the following faculties:

  • Faculty of Energy and Fuels
  • Faculty of Civil Engineering and Resource Management
  • Faculty of Geology, Geophysics and Environmental Protection
  • Faculty of Mining Surveying and Environmental Engineering
  • Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics
  • Faculty of Drilling, Oil and Gas

organized two editions of the "International School at AGH – SPINAKER" in 2020 and 2021.

A total of 9 intensive courses were conducted for 76 students from Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam. The total project budget amounted to PLN 782,178.60.

The projects were carried out under the SPINAKER – Intensive International Education Programs, organized by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
